Insane Comeback Part 2 In Tampa

Middlebrooks' 3-run double keys Boston win
The Red Sox made an "insane comeback" as Anthony would say, and beat the Rays 4-3. The Sox were down to their final out in the top of the 9th inning, and Middlebrooks came up to bat, and drilled a 2 out 3 run bases loaded double to center field to give the Sox the 4-3 lead. If it wasn't for that inning, this would be a terrible loss, because in the game we only got 4 hits... Anyways, Doubrant didn't do bad in his first start back since being in the bullpen, but it wasn't good either. It was kind of in the middle, maybe a decent. This start probably would have been great if he just had kept control of the ball. He only gave up 3 hits, and 2 runs, through 5 innings, and getting 7 strikeouts. But their was one thing that ruined this start completely, his career high 6 walks given up. Just like in his other starts, it was the walks that killed him, and ruined the start. It proved to be why he gave up those runs. Our other pitchers, well I'll skip to Tazawa, he didn't do bad, he did ok, giving up 2 hits in the 9th, but none of them scored. Our offense, well slumping and struggling Ellsbury went 0-5, Napoli went 0-3 with 3 strikeouts, Drew went 0-3 with 2 strikeouts, Salty went 0-3, and Middlebrooks who has proved to be out of his slump and has been doing good lately, went 1-3 with 3 RBI's.

The Sox finished the series, earning 2 out of 3 wins in Tampa and they will now travel to Minnesota to take on the Twins, and the Sox are one thirds done from this long road trip. Buchholz will again look to earn his 7th win tonight to go 7-0. Anyways, hopefully the Sox keep playing good and don't do bad like last time against the Twins.
