Will Middlebrooks Minor Injury

So during Wednesday night's game, Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks injured his wrist swinging on a high pitch, that was kind of close to him, but did not hit him. Middlebrooks took a weird swing and then went to the dugout to sit out the game.

Last year in August, Middlebrooks injured his wrist from being hit by a ball on the wrist, which would end up being broken. So obviously, his last injury could have affected this one, but so far this injury is not a major problem. He went to a doctor to get his wrist checked out, and everything looked fine according to him and John Farrell. Middlebrooks said that his wrist feels better. He was even taking some swings at batting practice.

So luckily, this was a freak scare injury and he is cleared for baseball activities. Farrell said that Middlebrooks could play in Friday night's spring training game against the Pirates. Middlebrooks plans to wear a protective batting glove soon. Anyways, it's a good thing Middlebrooks did not get injured because the Red Sox don't have too much depth/players that are good that play 3rd, but that doesn't matter anymore.

Bruins Beat Isles 4-1

The Bruins beat the Isles Tuesday night by a score of 4-1. The Bruins made some really nice passes in this game, and scoring chances favored them. Also, Rask did a stellar job in net, including saving a breakaway shot. Anyways, throughout most of the game you could hear Bruins chants instead of the Islanders, which is very ironic. Let's look at the stats.

Tuukka Rask: 36 out of 37 shots saved
Gregory Campbell: 1 Goal
Tyler Seguin: 2 Assists
Patrice Bergeron: 2 Assists
David Krejci: 1 Goal
Adam MCQuaid: 1 Goal
Brad Marchand: 1 Goal

Player Of The Game (tough choice): Tuukka Rask

So yeah, it was a tough choice because a lot of Bruins players did good. I mean Seguin and Bergeron combined for 4 assists, but Tuukka Rask did a really good job in net, making amazing saves too. Anyways, next up we face the Senators.

BREAKING: Patriots Sign QB Tom Brady To 3 Year Extension Contract

Tom Brady has won 3 Super Bowls, has been a 2 time MVP, and an eight time Pro Bowler in his career, all with the Patriots.

The Patriots have signed quarter back Tom Brady to a 3 year extension contract that will keep him with the Pats until he is 40, up to 2017. Well, there you have it, Brady is pretty much a Patriot for life, because I'm sure the Pats won't get rid of Brady through a trade in the future. The deal is worth $27 million, and he will get paid a $3 million signing bonus. In addition, he will get salaries of $7 million in 2015, $8 million in 2016, and $9 million in 2017.

Brady turns 40 on August 3, 2017, and he has made it clear that he wants to play up until at least 40 years old, which will be done with the Pats.

Over the next 5 years, including the salaries, Brady will get paid $13.8 million in 2013, $14.8 million in 2014,  $13 million in 2015, $14 million in 2016, and $15 million in 2017. Sheesh, and to think some MLB pitchers get signed to $175 million deals, and that some actually want to get paid $200 million. This extension will save the Pats in salary cap.

So it's great the Patriots signed Brady to a 3 year extension, because this most likely guarantees he will be a Patriot for life, once he retires around age 40. Also, with the Patriots saving some money, this can now pursue/push them to sign Wes Welker, who the Pats are starting to talk contracts with him. Hopefully they do sign Welker because he should remain a Patriot and he is one of the best wide receivers in the game today.

The Celtics need to get better on the road. Big Time. Like right now. They are 9-18 on the road and won't go anywhere unless they improve that. Lets look at the stats:

Paul Pierce: 23 points 8 assists and 7 rebounds

Brandon Bass: 11 points and 5 rebounds

Kevin Garnett: 20 points and 9 rebounds

Courtney Lee: 5 points

Avery Bradley: 8 points

Today we face the Jazz.

Bruins Easily Beat Panthers 4-1

(Bruins Defensemen Zdeno Chara celebrating after scoring a highlight reel goal)

At 11-2-2 the Bruins are off to there best start in 36 years, as they sweep the Florida trip and have now won 3 in a row. Milan Lucic started off the scoring with a nice wrist shot after the faceoff win to beat Panther's goalie Jacob Markstrom. 6 minutes later Zdeno Chara span through the Panthers "D" and went backhand and roofed it on Markstrom. Sloppy defense on the Panthers part. Panthers got it within one after Kobecky scored. Early in the 3rd Chris Kelly got a nice tip in on the powerplay. Paille ended it with a shorthanded empty netter. Lets look at the stats:

Tuuka Rask: 34 out of 35 shots saved
Milan Lucic: 1 goal
Zdeno Chara: 1 goal
Chris Kelly: 1 goal
Daniel Paille: Empty net goal

Player of the Game: Tuuka Rask

So overall great performance by the Bruins, who are now in 2nd place in the division 2 points behind the Habs but have 3 games in had. Next up Islanders. Should be another easy win.

No KG, No Problem, Celtics blowout Suns 113-88

The Celtics easily defeat the Suns 113-88. Plus we did it without KG who got a much needed rest. Jeff Green took his spot and played good. Ok fine not good, GREAT. Jordan Crawford made his Celtics debut with 10. After seeing that game I gotta say he's gonna be a big help, the guy can shoot 3's. And I forgot to mention in the last post Terrence William played and he played good that game and this game. He's got pretty good vision and can shoot. Lets look at the stats:

Paul Pierce: 8 points 5 rebounds and 3 assists

Jeff Green: 31 points 7 rebounds and 5 blocks

Brandon Bass: 6 points and 6 rebounds

Courtney Lee: 8 points and 5 rebounds

Avery Bradley: 13 points 4 rebounds and 4 steals

So overall a good game by the Celtics. Lets of Celtics fans at that game which made it easier. Next up Portland.

Bruins Beat Lightning 4-2

The Bruins beat the Tampa Bay Lightning Thursday night by a score of 4-2. The offense sure did show up tonight. The Bruins got on the board quickly with a goal from Nathan Horton. They would score again in the first period from a goal by Patrice Bergeron. Tampa Bay would score later in the first and then tie it up in the second, but the Bruins would respond with a goal from Brad Marchand. Then in the beginning of the 3rd period, Nathan Horton would score again. The game would remain 4-2, and Horton had 2 chances to get his hat trick, both on empty nets, in which he hit the post twice.

Tuukka Rask: 24 out of 26 shots saved (Still bad Abudi?)
Nathan Horton: 2 Goals
Brad Marchand: 1 Goal, 1 Assist
Patrice Bergeron: 1 Goal, 1 Assist
Dougie Hamilton: 2 Assists
Milan Lucic: 7 Hits

Player Of The Game: Nathan Horton

So 4 Bruins had a 2 point night tonight, including rookie Dougie Hamilton who had 2 assists. Marchand leads the Bruins in goals with 9. He is looking like Boston's best scorer right now. Anyways, next up the Bruins face the horrendous Panthers, who have already let up 58 goals this season, I'm sorry but I can't resist saying this: THIS SHOULD BE A VERY EASY WIN!

Celtics Trade Deadline Wrap Up

So the Celtics made only 1 trade this year and it was Jason Collins and Leandro Barbosa for Wizard's Jordan Crawford. This is a GREAT deal for the Celtics considering Barbosa is out for the year and Collins is crap. Crawford is a good shooter shooting 34% at the 3 point line and hated being on the Wizards.(I dont blame him) I'll give this trade an A. Bye Barbosa and Collins we'll miss you!(not)

Lakers get there revenge, beat C's 113-99

This time the Lakers get there revenge cruising by the C's 113-99. Again this loss was expected, it was a back to back and this was the day the Lakers honored there owner Jerry Buss so they had to win for him. But after this no more excuses we gotta sweep the rest of the road trip. Lets look at the stats:

Paul Pierce: 26 points 4 rebounds and 5 assists

Brandon Bass: 6 points

Kevin Garnett: 12 points 4 rebounds

Courtney Lee: 20 points 4 rebounds

Avery Bradley: 6 points 4 rebounds and 4 assists

Next up Suns.

Patriots Alfonzo Dennard Found Guilty

Patriots cornerback, Alfonzo Dennard has been found guilty of punching a police officer in the face. This happened before the 2012 NFL Draft. He was also found guilty of resisting arrest.

Once his sentence is due, he will face up to 5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. His sentencing will be April 11.

Anyways, it's sad to see a player go to jail and won't be back for a while, but he's gotta face it...

Red Sox Get Mike Carp Through Trade With Seattle

Mike Carp (Photo: Otto Greule Jr/Getty Images)The Red Sox have traded a player to be named or cash considerations for Seattle's, Mike Carp. Carp plays first base and outfield.

Carp had 12 home runs and 46 RBI's in 2011. This year his season was cut short because of injuries, and he ended up getting 5 home runs and 11 RBI's.

So, this player isn't that big of a deal and he will probably be in competition to make it onto the 25 man roster. He will most likely be in competition with Daniel Nava, and some other minor leaguer's/bench players we have.

P.S. It's my birthday today, and thank you Abudi.

Nuggets get there revenge, beat Celtics 97-90

Back to buisness for the Celtics, this is the start of a 5 game road trip and there playing 5 out of there next 7 days. The Nuggets get there revenge on the C's as they win by 7. Its not that bad though considering the Nuggets are 23-3 at home. Lets look at the stats:

Paul Pierce: 10 points 6 assists and 6 rebounds

Brandon Bass: 6 points and 9 rebounds

Kevin Garnett: 12 points 9 rebounds

Courtney Lee: 15 points and 4 assists

Avery Bradley: 17 points and 3 rebounds

So we play again today against the Lakers, should be a good one.

Rest of season predictions for Celtics

Its all about 18. The Celtics quest for there 18th championship continues Tuesday. They are 28-24 and sit 5 games behind the Knicks for a division. They are in a hot streak winning 8 of there last 9 games since Rondo went down with a ACL injury. Yet no one gives the Celtics any credit. They do think the C's will make the playoffs but not get by the 1st round. I cant wait to see the looks on there faces once we do that. I predict the Celtics will finish with a 45-37 record and finish 6th in the East. They'll face the Pacers, Bulls, and Heat in the playoffs and get by them. They'll face the Spurs in the Finals and win it at the Garden.

Bruins Squeak By Jets 3-2

The Bruins beat the Jets Sunday night by a score of 3-2. It was a close game the whole game. Winnipeg got on top first but the Bruins would respond by scoring their own goal, which was from Seguin. The Jets would score after with 30 seconds left, and the Bruins weren't going to take it. They would go on to score with 2 seconds left in the 2nd period, with a goal from Paille. Then, right into the 3rd period, Marchand would score to break the tie and give the Bruins a 3-2 lead. The game would remain at a score of 3-2 for the rest of the game, and towards the final seconds of the game, the Jets almost scored on a close goal that almost went over the goal line but never went across, so the Bruins would end up winning the game.

Tuukka Rask: 22 out of 24 shots saved (That's not too bad Abudi)
Tyler Seguin: 1 Goal
Daniel Paille: 1 Goal
Brad Marchand: 1Goal
Patrice Bergeron: 2 Assists

So Rask did a good job in net, and the Bruins snapped their 2 game losing streak. Anyways, I'm not going to predict any more Bruins games because I feel that jinx games. Next up, Bruins VS Lightning, should be an easy win, I'M JUST KIDDING, I'd never predict games anymore, but I do I think Steven Stamkos is going to be a challenge for the Bruins though. Hey, maybe this game won't get cancelled like the last time we were scheduled to play the Lightning.

Grades for every Celtic player at the All Star Break

2nd of 3 posts im doing during the Break. This time i'll be grading each Celtics player(not doing injured ones). I'll also be doing another post saying there grades at the end of the regular season. Lets get started.

PAUL PIERCE: A-

Pierce is averaging 18.5 points per game, 4.4 assists, and 6.4 rebounds. At 35 many people didn't think Pierce doesn't have it any more he proved this critics wrong way earlier in the season.

BRANDON BASS: C

Bass is averaging 7.6 points per game, and 5 rebounds per game. Bass started off the year terrible but heading towards the break he's been playing pretty good.

KEVIN GARNETT: B+

KG is averaging 15 points per game, 2.3 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game. Not bad for a 36 year old. Oh and he's and All Star this year.

COURTNEY LEE: C+

Lee is averaging 7.4 points per game, 1.6 assists and 2.3 rebounds. Lee has been an average player, and had his ups and downs.

AVERY BRADLEY: B-

Bradley is averaging 8.5 points, 1.5 assists, and 2 rebounds per game. Although not the best stats he is mainly know for his great defence.

JASON TERRY: B

Terry is averaging 10.4 points per game, 2.4 assists and 2 rebounds per game. Terry is the opposite of Bradley, he isnt that good on defense but he is a great shooter and can make 3's. He is in the top 5 of 3 pointer mades. He is a nice replacement for Ray Allen.

JEFF GREEN: B

Green is averaging 10 points per game, 3 rebounds and 1 blocks per game. Green is a great defender and can make 3's. It's his first year back from heart surgery and he is doing pretty good.

JASON COLLINS: D-

Collins is averaging 1.2 points per game, and 2 rebounds per game. I was tempted to give him a F but he is contributing in a way....

Wilcox and Melo have barely played so im not grading them. Tomorrow i'll make my rest of season predictions.

Trade Deadline Approaching, what should the Celtics do?

This is gonna be the first of 3 posts I do during the All Star Break. The next one will be tomorrow. Right now the Celtics are 28-24 and sit in 7th in the East. 1.5 games behind the Hawks for 6th and have a 5.5 game lead over Philly for a playoff spot. So it's safe to say we should make the playoffs. But of course all teams want is the NBA finals. The Celtics lost 3 key players in Rondo, Sullinger, and Barbosa. So far we've been doing good but not great. Lets look at the Buzz going on in the Trade Deadline.

TRADE RUMORS:

So first lets talk about the KG trade rumors. There's been reports that the Clippers and Celtics have been talking a KG trade, KG won't waive his no trade clause, which means he can't be traded. In fact he won't do that for any team. So Kevin Garnett will most likely be a Celtic for the rest of his career. So those trade rumors have been put to rest. Should the Celtics consider this? NO

Yupp thats right. Theres been reports that the Lakers might trade Dwight for Rondo. The Lakers denied this rumor though. In all honesty I think this is a trade that might benefit us. Dont get me wrong Rondo is a great player but we proved we can win without him. Should the Celtics consider this? YES

TOP  TRADE TARGET:
 Josh Smith:

Josh Smith has been in trade rumors since the beginning of the season and his best fit would be the Celtics. He says he wouldn't mind playing with the Celtics. COME ON CELTICS MAKE IT HAPPEN.

TOP TRADE BAITS:
Brandon Bass
Jeff Green
Jason Collins
Jason Terry

Bass has been a dissapointment this year, Collins is Collins, Green has had his ups and downs and we might get good players for him , same goes with Terry. I would've added Barbosa but he's gone.... so yeah.

CONCLUSION:

The Celtics should try to avoid trading Pierce and KG, Rondo see what you can get from him. Try to get Smith by trading Bass/Green/Collins and Terry. So yeah the trade deadline is approaching i'll make a post the day after it saying what they did. Tomorrow i'll post about......

Dougie Hamilton Scores First NHL Goal, But Bruins Lose 4-2

Bruins center David Krejci watched the puck hit the goalpost as Sabres defenseman Christian Ehrhoff and goaltender Ryan Miller reacted.

The Bruins lost to the Buffalo Sabres, Friday night by a score of 4-2. The only bright side to this loss was that Bruins rookie defense man, Dougie Hamilton scored his first NHL goal of his career, many more to come in the future, congratulations! Anyways, the Bruins played a bit sloppy tonight, hitting in the 4th goal for the Sabres. Let's look at the stats.

Anton Khudobin: 22 out of 26 shots saved
Dougie Hamilton: 1 Goal, 1 Assist
Rich Peverley: 1 Goal
Milan Lucic: 5 Hits

So, Dougie Hamilton also recorded an assist, which got him a 2 point game, Friday night. Anyways, there is not much to talk about, but with the Bruins finishing this game, it starts the 5 game road trip, well now 4 games. Next up, the Jets, should be an easy win.

Kevin Garnetts hints toward retirement says "2013 All-Star Game Will Be His Last

That look is the way every Celtics fan is having right now. Kevin Garnett announced that this will be his last All Star Game. Although he didn't technically say he's retiring it's a good chance he's hinting there. KG is the only player in NBA history that has 25,000 points, 10,000 boards, 5,000 assists 1,500 blocks and steals. He will certainly be missed by all the Celtics fans and NBA fans. He is no question probably the 2nd best(Tim Duncan would be 1st) PF ever to play the game. So what do you think? You think this will be KG's last year? Or is he just messing with us?

Celtics win Low Scoring Game 71-69 against Bulls

Well this was an um..... interesting game. At halftime the score was 36-35 which is well... sad. The Celtics shot a whopping 36.8%. And only scored 8 points in the third quarter. But in the 4th our offense went off and  scored 28 points to give us the win. Jason Terry had the game winning block in the in to secure us the win. Lets look at the stats: (You'll be surprised to see who gets player of the game.)

Paul Pierce: 8 points 6 rebounds and 6 assists

Brandon Bass: 14 points and 9 rebounds

Kevin Garnett: 12 points 11 rebounds

Avery Bradley: 10 points

Courtney Lee: 7 points

So yeah Bass gets player of the game scoring a GAME HIGH 14 points!! Thats sad i mean 14 points is game high?! Anyway that was the Celtics last game before the All Star Break and it's nice we end it off with a win. Oh and in case you didn't read DJ's post Barbosa is out for the year and he IS important. He was a great shooter and had a nice floater. So our next game is on Tuesday against the Nuggets. Lets cook those Nuggets.

Red Sox Injury Report: Clay Buchholz Hamstring

Clay BuchholzIt was reported that Red Sox starter pitcher, Clay Buchholz had suffered a minor hamstring injury in which was just a strain. Though yesterday saying he had strained it, he is now saying that he feels much better and if his treatment continues, he'll be able to start pitching during Spring Training 2013. Here's what John Farrel had to say.

From ESPN
“It was a good day for Clay Buchholz,” said Red Sox manager John Farrell. “He’s responded favorably to treatment. His range of motion is good. His strength is good. He still has some sensation in a smaller spot, more localized than [Tuesday]. He actually went out and threw after the workout, not off the mound, but he was able to put a ball back in his hand. It was an encouraging day for him.”

So as you see, Buchholz does not feel that this strain will be big, and he will be able to come back on the mound soon. If you don't know, a hamstring strain is an injury that happens in the legs. Buchholz said his legs felt much better today. This is a good sign and he will most likely be able to recover and pitch soon. This is a good thing for me because he's my favorite Boston pitcher, if you didn't know. GO GET EM BUCHHOLZ!

Bruins Rally Late To Comeback, But Go On To Lose In Shootout 4-3

Throughout most of the game, and up until the final 10 minutes of the 3rd period, the Bruins were down 3-0. David Krejci had scored a goal to make it 3-1, with a lot of time left in the 3rd period, and in the final minutes of the 3rd period, the Bruins would come up with clutch goals from Nathan Horton and Brad Marchand who scored the tying 3rd goal, to make it 3-3. The Bruins would head to overtime, but neither of the two teams could score, so they'd move onto a shootout. Rask would let in 2 goals in the shootout and the Bruins would only score 1 goal, from Marchand. Anyways, it was an exciting game, and the Bruins still got the point for going into over time and the shootout. Let's look at the stats.

Tuukka Rask: 26 out of 29 shots saved
Shawn Thornton: 6 Hits
Dennis Seidenberg: 2 assists
Milan Lucic: 2 Assists, 6 hits
David Krejci: 1 Goal
Nathan Horton: 1 Goal
Brad Marchand: 1 Goal

So during this game, the B's offense did a lot, but mostly late in the 3rd period. Goalie, Tuukka Rask did let in a couple easy shot goals but one of them simply just went slowly through Rask's legs, a lucky goal for the Rangers. It was an exciting game, and most people thought the Bruins were going to lose, I mean you could see some of the fans leaving the Garden, but hey, at least the Bruins came back in the 3rd period. This point puts Boston on top of the division, and 2nd in the conference. Next up, we face Buffalo, AGAIN, at their rink, AGAIN... Don't worry, the Bears are gonna scare away the Sabres for good this time!

Bruins Sign Forward Jay Pandolfo

The Bruins signed 38 year old forward Jay Pandolfo to a 1 year contract. He was placed on waivers which means the Bruins can send him to the AHL.

Over the course of 881 games he has scored 100 goals and 126 assists. He has also been a Stanley Cup champion twice. His past teams have been the New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders.

He's probably not going to contribute much but will probably just be a call up for when someone gets injured.

Celtics Lose To Bobcats In A Close Game

The Celtics lost to the Bobcats, yesterday by a score of 94-91. Let's remember, they played in 3OT last game and were probably tired. Ramon Sessions hit the key jumper in the final 30 seconds that gave the Bobcats the lead. After that, Boston would intentionally foul, giving them time to shoot a 3. Boston had 2 chances to shoot a 3, one from Paul Pierce who hit the rim, and one from Avery Bradley who also hit the rim. Anyways, let's look at the stats.

Paul Pierce: 13 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists
Kevin Garnett: 16 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists
Jason Terry: 12 points, 6 assists
Jeff Green: 18 points, 4 rebounds

So the Celtics overall kept it to a close game but couldn't come up in the end. Also, during this game, Celtics, Leandro Barbosa injured his knee and will be out for the season now. That makes 3 players now! THREE PLAYERS! Barbosa shouldn't have a big effect on being out for the season but it does suck to see a player go down and not come back for the season. Anyways, next up they face the Bulls.

Celtics squeak by Nuggets win 118-114 in 3OT Thriller

What a game by those 3 guys. What a game what a game what a game! The Celtics can there best win of the season after defeating the Nuggets(4th in west)  118-114 and snapping the Nuggets 9 game winning streak and giving us our 7th win in a row. Lets look at these amazing stats: (Note: I'm going to do stats for everyone that got over 10 points JUST for this game)

Paul Pierce:  54:11 minutes, 27 points 14 rebounds and 14 assists. And thats the truth,

Kevin Garnett: 47:03 minutes, 20 points 18 rebounds 6 assists

Avery Bradley: 13 points 5 rebounds 4 assists

Jason Terry: 42:38 minutes, 27 points

Jeff Green: 17 points and shot 6-10

Yupp thats right Terry, Garnett, and Pierce all gets the playerS of the game with there awesome effort. Now let me comment on how LOUD the fans were throughout the game there wasn't 1 second they were quiet at the start of overtime. The Celtics truly do have the best fans in the NBA and all of New England, why? 25% of the Bruins fans are bandwagoners(me). Pats fans always complain when they lose and wouldnt be there if it wasn't for Tom Brady. And Red Sox fans? That streak is garbage if the price of all seats were the same and didn't decrease, Fenway would be 75% full. ANYWAY we face the Nuggets soon again after the All Star Break at Denver which will be tough. Anyway we face the Bobcats today looking for our 8th straight win it will be tough though since it's a back to back and we just came off a triple OT win.

Bruins Top Buffalo In Revenge Win 3-1

The Bruins defeated the Sabres in revenge style, 3-1. This win marks the best start for the Bruins in 10 games by getting 17 points in those first 10 games. There wasn't too much action in this game, I mean Campbell did fight but he got easily beat up in the fight. Other than that, there were a few scrambles where the refs would just break it up. Anyways let's look at the stats.

Anton Khudobin: 25 out of 26 shots saved
Milan Lucic: 1 Goal (Empty Net)
Patrice Bergeron: 1 Goal
Brad Marchand: 1 Goal

Player Of The Game: Anton Khudobin

So overall, our offense didn't do too good. But boy oh man, backup goalie, Khudobin did good in net stopping 25 shots. Anyways, next up they face the Rangers who are 6-5 and have struggled lately but are on a 2 game winning streak right now and have scored 9 goals and let up 2 goals in the past 2 games.

Prediction: Final score: 2-1 Bruins

Red Sox Prospect Bryce Brentz Shoots Himself By Mistake

Red Sox prospect, Bryce Brentz accidentally shot himself when cleaning his gun. The 24 year old Brentz was lucky to be OK. So apparently he was cleaning his gun and he probably set off the trigger by mistake. The bullet went through his left leg. Here's what GM, Ben Cherington had to say about this.

"He was at home cleaning a gun, and it accidentally went off,'' Cherington said. "Fortunately for him, it's something he's going to recover from and be fine, and it won't affect his baseball career.

So this incident will not ruin his career. Brentz has been a good prospect in the Red Sox's farm system. He hit a combined .290 batting average, 17 home runs, and 76 RBI's in Double A and Triple A. Brentz will be able to heal fully by the end of spring training and could play in some games.

Brandon Bass: 8 points 4 rebounds

Kevin Garnett: 15 points 5 rebounds

Avery Bradley: 10 points 5 rebounds

Courtney Lee: 13 points 5 rebounds

Bye Bye Tim Thomas

Tim Thomas wins the Vezina Trophy in the Bruins’ Stanley Cup season of 2010-11.
Bye Bye Tim Thomas, because he has been traded to the New York Islanders for a second round draft pick. We will only get the 2nd round pick if Thomas actually plays for the Islanders, which he has already made plans to play next season. Thomas had reached his salary cap and it was time to trade him. When Thomas plays next year he will be 38 years old, good luck Thomas, good luck... NOT!

Let's take a look back down the road for what Thomas has done for the Bruins...

Tim Thomas was a great goalie for Boston, and even though most people won't miss him for his off ice actions, he led us to the 2011 Stanley Cup.

ANYWAYS, Thomas still will not be playing this year, maybe next year. Right now, Tuukka Rask looks like he's going to be a longtime goalie for Boston. Maybe, Rask will lead us to the Cup this year. Wait, am I saying maybe? I'm wrong, because he WILL lead us to the Cup. So what do you guys think about Timmy T get traded?

Key Game: Lakers VS Celtics

The best rivarly in the NBA will play tonight and should be a good one. Both teams off to poor starts considering a few years ago they were the 2 most dominant teams in the league. Lakers have won 3 in a row, 3 games behind for a final playoff spot, while the Celtics have won 5 in a row and have a 4 game lead over Philly for the final playoff spot. I'm gonna talk about each team for 1 and 2, then i'll explain why this will be a big game, and finally I will give my predictions.

1. Lets start with the Lakers. A year after getting embarased by the Thunder in the playoffs the Lakers made the biggest offseason moves of the year. They signed future Hall of Famer Steve Nash out of free agency and traded for Dwight Howard. They were the favorites to win the west, and now? There struggling to even get back in contention for the playoffs. They have won 3 in a row though and have won 4 in a row in Boston.

2. Now onto the Celtics. A year after taking the Heat to 7 games in the ECF and at one point lead 3-2 the Celtics lost Ray Allen in free agency to the Heat and signed Jason Terry to take his place, they also signed Courtney Lee, and Leandro Barbosa. They were off to a bad start and many people gave up on the Celtics. They've been an up and down team and still have 1 more year in them. They are on a 5 game winning streak and look to make it 6 in a row against a red hot Lakers team.

3. Lakers VS Celtics, The Truth(Paul Pierce) VS The Black Mamba(Kobe Bryant), The Big Ticket(Kevin Garnett) VS Superman(Dwight Howard). ENOUGH SAID!!!

4. Normally I would try to jinx the Celtics since it worked so far, but I cant say the Fakers can win it'll make me throw up.

Prediction: Celtics win 97-89.

Celtics win 5th straight game 99-95 over the Raptors

The Celtics are now 5-0 since it was announced that Rajon Rondo will miss the season. Big game by the Big Ticket(Kevin Garnett). This time for once Paul Pierce will NOT be getting the player of the game.

Paul Pierce: 12 points 11 rebounds and 6 assists

Brandon Bass: 10 points 3 rebounds

Kevin Garnett: 27 points 10 rebounds 4 assists and shot 11-18

Courtney Lee: 15 points and shot 6-11

Avery Bradley: 11 points 2 assists

Barbosa also had a big game, 14 points and shot 5-8 against his old team. Avery Bradley took over the point guard spot and did decent. The next game though... can't wait.

Bruins Get By Canadians From Rask Stellar Performance, Win 2-1

The Bruins got by the Canadians Wednesday night by a score of 2-1. Boston scored their only 2 goals in the third period. Montreal outplayed the Bruins in the first period but Boston stepped it up during the 2nd period. Even though Montreal scored in the 2nd period, Boston entered the 3rd period scoring 2 quick goals. For the remainder of the game, Rask would help the Bruins with excellent goal tending. Let's see the stats.

Tuukka Rask: 20 out of 21 shots saved
Tyler Seguin: 1 Goal, 1 Assist
David Krejci: 1 Goal, 1 Assist
Milan Lucic: 6 Hits

Player Of The Game: Tyler Seguin

The player of the game award is going to Seguin for scoring his first actual real goal last night. His first goal was an empty netter, so yeah... Anyways, the Bruins played a good, not great, game. Defense did good letting up only 21 shots. But as for offense, hey, at least Seguin scored. This game didn't show much rivalry but it's only the first meeting of the season. There weren't any fights and the only sign of a fight was when Adam McQuaid stepped up to fight but didn't want to draw the penalty, somehow he would anyway. This win puts Boston at the top of the division. Well, next up we face the Steven Stamkos and the Lightning. Boston is expecting a big snow storm to hit Friday and the game could get pushed to the night. If it does then the Bruins will have to play Saturday night and then Buffalo the next day on Sunday.

Red Sox Hire Dana Levangie As Bullpen Coach

The Red Sox have signed Dana Levangie as our bullpen coach. Levangie has been with the Red Sox for 22 years as a player, and coach. Here's what the big man, manager, John Farrel had to say about this.

“We are extremely pleased to add Dana to the major league staff,” manager John Farrell said in a statement. “He has been a valuable asset to the Red Sox in a variety of roles and his vast knowledge of the Major Leagues, particularly the American League, will enable him to make an impact on our staff and with our bullpen.”

So basically he is going to basically help/coach the bullpen and other players. This will sure get us out of last place and bring us to into 1st!

No, but seriously, I do think the Red Sox will make the playoffs.

Gronk Spotted In Las Vegas Partying With Broken Forearm

ESPN The Magazine's "NEXT" Event
Patriots star tight end, Rob Gronkowski was spotted at a Las Vegas club partying with his broken forearm. This is a disgrace... I mean c'mon, you're healthy enough to go partying a club but can't play in the playoffs with us? One word: idiot. The fact that he was wrestling just sickens me. I mean if he injures his arm more, he could not be healthy for this next season. This marks one of the numerous times he has been caught partying. I mean just last year after the Super Bowl, he was partying and getting drunk. Now he's doing it again. This is a disgrace to Robert Kraft, owner of the Patriots because it puts a downside on his team. Well, someone needs to talk some sense into Gronk because he needs to grow up and become mature if he wants to be in the NFL...

Pierce's clutch 3 with 2.5 seconds left gives Celtics a 106-104 win

Celtics nearly blew a 19 point lead to the Clippers but Pierce hit a clutch 3 to secure us the win. The Celtics got sloppy at the end with the turnovers but a win is a win. So does Pierce's clutch 3 secure him the Player of the Game? Your gonna need more than a clutch shot to secure yourself player of the game. Lets look at the stats:

Paul Pierce: 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and shot 4-6 shooting 3's

Brandon Bass: 9 points 8 rebounds and 4 assists

Kevin Garnett: 12 points 5 rebounds

Avery Bradley: 4 points

Courtney Lee: 7 points

Our bench also did good with both Barbosa and Green getting 14 points, Terry had 13 and even Collins had 7 points. I'm sure your all satisfied with this win but i'm not. We blew a lead, and we barely beat them when they were missing Chris Paul and someone else thats good but for some reason I forgot. Next up an improved Raptors team.

No Fear, Tuukka Is Here

Chris Bourque and teammates celebrate after his first goal as a Bruin.

Rask and the Bruins shutout the Leafs yesterday by a score of 1-0. It was a close game with the only goal being scored by Chris Bourque, which was his first as a Bruin. Rask did a great job in net stopping 21 shots. Let's look at the stats.

Tuukka Rask: 21 out of 21 shots saved
Chris Bourque: 1 Goal

Player Of The Game: Tuukka Rask

Yeah so there wasn't that many important stats in the game. All I know is, the defense stepped it up big time only allowing 21 shots. Rask also rebounded from his last start. Next up, we face the Montreal Canadians, or as some people would say, the Habs. LET'S GO BRUINS! DESTROY THE HABS!

Key Game: Clippers VS Celtics

This is it this game right here will decide if we are a true contender for the championship. The Clippers are 3rd in the west with a 34-14 record and beat us earlier this season 106-77. Yikes. No one is giving us a chance to win it all, but true loyal Celtics fans like me believe we have a chance. People that aren't loyal (DJ) are probably jumping of the bandwagon and going to the Heats.

Without Rondo it's gonna be tough but I think we could pull of the upset, but we won't. Clippers win 103-95

Celtics win 3rd straight against Magic 97-84

So the Celtics have had 3 straight and this time without Rondo AND Sullinger. Jeff Green played great with 17 points 3 blocks and 3 dunks and he isn't a starter so i'll say it now. Jeff Green will be the player of the game. Lets look at the stats:

Paul Pierce: 14 points 11 rebounds and 7 assists (3 consecutive game with 10 or more rebounds for the first time since 2005)

Brandon Bass: 6 points 7 rebounds

Kevin Garnett: 14 points 10 rebounds

Avery Bradley: 6 points

Courtney Lee: 14 points 5 rebounds 5 assists

The Celtics have been playing well lately winning 3 in a row but 2 of those wins were against crappy teams that we should be able to beat. Our biggest test though will come this Sunday against the Clippers. Rajon who? (Too soon?)
