MLB Hall of Fame Ballots

Hey Guys!

Yes I know this isn't fully Boston Sports related but I will also be posting important sports news if there is any. So the MLB Hall of Fame Ballots were released yesterday and there is a lot of first time candidates on there. Now this Hall of Fame Ballot is interesting because a lot of the players on here have been questioned to steroid use. For example, Mark McGwire who admitted using steroids, and Barry Bonds who wasn't proven but was linked to steroid cases and was in the steroid scandal called Balco. If you looked at Barry Bonds when he first joined the league he was skinny. Towards later in his career he was big and bulgy and had huge muscles. The truth will never be known unless he confesses. Also another player would be Roger Clemens who pitched for the Red Sox, Blue Jays, Astros, and Yankees throughout his career. Roger Clemens was involved in a steroid case where we was proven innocent and not guilty on June 18th, 2012. So he may be a player who wasn't on them but the others can be questioned. Anyway, here is who on the ballot.

2013 Candidates

Jeff Bagwell
Craig Biggio
Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Edgar Martinez
Don Mattingly
Fred McGriff
Mark McGwire
Jack Morris
Dale Murphy
Rafael Palmeiro
Mike Piazza
Tim Raines
Curt Schilling
Lee Smith
Sammy Sosa
Alan Trammel
Larry Walker
Bernie Williams

So yeah those were the 2013 Hall of Fame candidates and I saw 2 Red Sox players on there that I know, Roger Clemens and Curt Schilling. Ah yes, 2 of the greatest pitchers in MLB and they were both on the Red Sox at one point. Roger Clemens was on the Red Sox during the 80's when he was a dominant pitcher and Curt Schilling was on the Red Sox when we won the 2004 and 2007 World Series. Curt Schilling pitched a memorable game in the 2004 NLCS comeback called the Bloody Sock game. His ankle was injured but he still pitched a great game and helped us complete the comeback down 3-0. He wasn't just know for that even though that was on of his biggest games, he still pitched great throughout his 20 year career. Anyways what do you think? Do you think alleged steroid users Mark McGwire and Barry Bonds should even be on this ballot? Comment!
