Bruins Fall To Canadians In Close Game 4-3
The Bruins lost to the Canadians 4-3 Sunday night. They played a great game last night. Montreal scored first but the Bruins would respond to tie it 1-1, and by the end of the 1st period, the Habs took the 2-1 lead. Then into the 2nd period the Bruins tied it 2-2. And then the Bruins took their first lead of the game in the 2nd period, with a little help from a goal by Dougie Hamilton. Heading into the 3rd period the Bruins had the 3-2 lead but Montreal would score 2 unanswered goals in the 3rd, and that would give them the 4-3 lead. The Bruins had a couple of good chances in the final minutes when they pulled goalie Tuukka Rask, but they could not score. Let's look at the stats.
Tuukka Rask: 22 out of 26 shots saved
Tyler Seguin: 1 Goal, 1 Assist
Dougie Hamilton: 1 Goal
Patrice Bergeron: 1 Goal, 2 Assists
Brad Marchand: 3 Assists
Also, some things to mention is, Seguin was hit and it kind of looked like a cheap shot, so big man captain Zdeno Chara stepped in and fought the guy who hit Seguin. Now that's what a captain is for, to stand up for your teammates. Seguin did not get to see the fight because he went into the locker room after getting hit, but he talked to Chara and thanked him after the game. Chara received a 10 game misconduct, and Seguin was not injured after the game. Also, Bergeron and Marchand both had 3 points on the night. Anyways, next up we face the Capitals, who knocked out the Bruins out of the playoffs last year in the first round, but have been strutting this year, should be a good match up.
