Bruins Blow Lead, Lose To Pens 3-2
The Bruins lost to the Penguins Tuesday night 3-2. There is a lot to talk about, but I'll talk about the 2 main things that happened in this game.
1. The Bruins led all the way up until the final 6 minutes, when Pittsburgh had scored there first goal of the game. Ok, so no panic, Pittsburgh won't score again, Khudobin's got this, but wait, WHAT?! Suddenly, the Penguins scored ANOTHER goal and were rallying for the win. And once again, the Penguins would score another goal to complete the comeback and win the game. The Bruins had small chances in the final seconds, but could not score, and lost.
2. Ok the second thing is the ridiculous low amount of shots we had in the game. All together the Bruins had 16 shots, WOW. Just wow, I'm going to leave it at that.
Anton Khudobin: 31 out of 34 shots saved
Tyler Seguin: 1 Goal
Zdeno Chara: 1 Goal
The Bruins offense wasn't anywhere to be seen, to me, they got lucky goals because their only goals game on the first 5 shots of the game from them, and they never scored again. Backup, Khudobin played great especially against a team who has 3 great goal scorers this season (Crosby, Neal, Kunitz). Anyways, the whole team really collapsed and fell apart towards the end because the last goal was a 2 on 1, which our defense played great up until then. So, now that this is over with we face the Panthers next, who shouldn't be a problem considering they lead the league in most goals allowed with 101. And I can't help but mention this, the Bruins have the fewest goals let up this season so far with 53 goals let up.
