The Red Sox have signed first baseman, Lyle Overbay, to a minor league deal. Overbay is 36 years old and his best season was in 2006 with the Blue Jays when he had a .312 batting average and 22 home runs to go with that. This year he had 2 home runs and 10 RBI's in 65 games. Yeah, I know, not good. Anyways, Overbay is probably going to play as a backup first baseman and will most likely be a bench player. To be honest, I think this signing is pretty useless. Just the look of this guy gives me the wrong vibes... ehh...
